General Information

The San Antonio Football Chapter, with over 300 members, provides trained and qualified football officials to over 200 public and private high schools and middle schools in an extensive area of south-central Texas.

The San Antonio Chapter is a member chapter of the Texas Association of Sports Officials.  Just like the state organization, the San Antonio Chapter is governed by a set of bylaws and an elected board of directors.  Regular meetings are held during the season and annual dues are collected.  Officials are grouped by division based on experience level - these levels are Division 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5.

The San Antonio Chapter serves to promote the welfare of the American intercollegiate and interscholastic game of football, and the student-athletes of our area, by developing and maintaining a membership of experienced and capable football officials of high integrity.  Further, the Chapter serves to foster a high standard of ethics and encourage fair play and sportsmanship.  The San Antonio Chapter strives to devote its attention conscientiously and diligently to the best interests of the game of football and the young men who play.

Become a football official means that you are giving back to America's greatest game and supporting a sport which means so much to so many  - young and old alike.  Persons interested in becoming football officials will be provided with training and materials.  If you are interested, see this page or contact any one of the members below.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors for the San Antonio Chapter handles the day-to-day affairs of the Chapter.  More importantly, these officials, elected by their peers, are responsible for ensuring that the San Antonio Chapter continues the tradition of quality and competent officials, for which it is known.  Any of these individuals are available to answer any questions you may have about football officiating in
South Texas.
